Welcome to a new season!! We know Spring is here when the smell of Jasmine fills the streets of North Carlton. We forget this feeling every year. Winter envelops us in our cozy cocoons but now the days are slowly but surely becoming longer, the buds are starting to blossom and finally the sun feels like it should…warm!
This season of renewal is the perfect time to embrace the benefits of eating seasonally. Not only does it allow us to enjoy fruits and vegetables at their peak of flavor and nutritional value, but it also supports local farmers and reduces our environmental footprint. It is well known that diet can influence and regulate allergic pathways in our gut therefore, eating seasonally can help decrease allergies by strengthening our immune system with the nutrients our bodies need at this time of year.
