When you can’t wait to hit the waves or dive into the pool during hot summer days, the last thing you want to be worrying about is the potential damage its causing to your skin and hair. But even though your skin feels cool in the water, it’s still being exposed to harmful UVA and UVB rays that penetrate the water and can cause aging effects to your skin, hair. The Lab Organics team of Beauty Specialists recommend the following routine to stay, protected, hydrated and glowing all Summer long.
Prep & Protect: Apply a sunscreen with a high degree of SPF
Face – Josh Rosebrook Nutrient Day Cream SPF 30 Moisturiser
Body - Baha Sunscreen for Babies and Everyone!
To ensure you’re still getting the proper amount of sun protection, reapply when you towel off or emerge from the water.
Post-swim:
Although your skin is in the water for a long time, it can still be dehydrated from being exposed to the sun and its reflective UVA and UVB rays. After you get out of the water and it’s time to dry off, wait a short while for your skin to recover – check your fingertips for wrinkling and wait for them to settle down – and then wash your face and hair with lots of clean water to leave no traces of chlorine which may have been in the pool.
Hydrate:
Apply May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon Beauty Balm to soothe, replenish and give your skin much-needed hydration. For an added boost of moisture, apply Odacite Pomegranate & Rose Geranium Hydration Serum a super concentrated hydration boost to restore moisture
